We report a rare case of compound fracture of the first metacarpal with volar dislocation of second, third, and fourth carpometacarpal (CMC) joints of the right hand. These injuries were diagnosed early and treated successfully with debridement and open reduction and internal fixation using multiple Kirschner wires (K-wire) within 6 hours of injury. The functional results were good at 16 weeks follow up. |
